Royal Batiste
I like to mix premium spirits to make premium cocktails, The Royal batiste is just such a libation. It combines the rich oak caramel flavour of a well aged rum with the excellent dry orange flavour of the Louis Alexandre Grand Marnier. Trust me, the result of this combination is pure delicious!
Royal Batiste
1 1/2 oz Well Aged Rum
1/2 oz Louis Alexandre Grand Marinier
Ice
Add one ice-cube to a cocktail glass
Pour the Aged rum and the Louis Alexandre Grand Marnier over the ice
allow a few minutes for the flavours to merge.
Enjoy!
Note: For those who want to know, ‘batiste’ refers to an extremely soft and elegant cotton fabric first produced in France. Batiste of Cambrai a (13th Century weaver) is credited with its first production. My cocktail thus refers to the soft and elegant nature of the two spirits used which make this a drink fit for Royalty.
