Simple Syrup (Sugar Syrup)
Simple Syrup
2/3 cup refined sugar
2/3 cup water
Add the sugar and water to a small cooking pot
Place on the stove at medium low heat
As the mixture heats, stir occasionally to dissolve the sugar
Bring to a slow boil
Remove from heat
Transfer to a small jar with lid or other suitable container
Simple syrup will usually keep for up to 10 days without refrigeration.
