Cran-Raspberry Syrup
3 Cups Fresh Cranberries
1 Cup Fresh Raspberries
1 2/3 Cups Sugar
2 Cups Water
Place cranberries, water, and sugar into a heavy saucepan
Heat the mixture and mix gently until sugar is dissolved
Bring the mixture to a slow boil and keep mixing gently
Remove from heat after 10 minutes when the cranberries have burst
Add the raspberries
Muddle the mixture with a mashing tool
Let everything steep for 2 hours
Strain into a serving jar
Note: You may wish to thicken the syrup to by bringing it to a slow boil to reduce on the stove.
