24 Days of Rum (#4) – Chamarel VSOP Rum (2006) (Mauritius)
Posted by Arctic Wolf on December 4, 2019
On Day 4 of the Rum Advent, we are going to travel across the Atlantic, across the continent of Africa and into the Indian Ocean just past Madagascar to the Island Nation of Mauritius. We are also going to taste a new style of rum.
Chamael VSOP is produced from rums distilled on both the plate column (90 %) and the copper still (10 %). Each style of rum is aged separately for 4 to 6 years in Ex-American Oak Barrels & Ex-French Oak Barrels in the La Rhumerie de Chamarel aging cellars.
Here is a link to my tasting notes and scores for the #4 spirit in the 24 Days of Rum – The Original Rum Tasting Box advent:
Review: Chamarel VSOP Rum (2006)
Please enjoy my review of the Chamarel V.S.O.P. Rum, a very nice spirit distilled and aged in the French Style.
